TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!!

I haven't posted in a few days due to stressing about getting the rental agreement so I can start my business.....well, today is the day! Painted Farmgirl is coming soon. This is a picture of the day, this day, I start a new path of this amazing journey. Thank you Jesus!

Thought provoking day... many things to think about to dream about to aspire to. But there is a small word that can rob me from following a passion or reaching for more, FEAR!!! But I refuse to allow it from hindering me in any way, shape, or form. One, because I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that He can take the fear away and replace it with courage and strength. And two, the quote by Henry C. Link says it best, "While one person hesitates because he feels inferior, the other is busy making mistakes and becoming superior." Well, with alot of prayer and thought I've decided to open a business of sorts. I will share more as I hammer out a couple of details... such as getting the place for the rent that meets my budget and also, getting a loan to enable myself to have a budget. I know those are not minor details to most, but I have faith that something will work out. If not, I'll keep busy making mistakes.

Lead Me Lord!!!

Opening a business sends a rush of excitment but also a shiver of fear through my body. Anticipation of what's to come....but fear of the unknown....what to do? At this point all I can do is pray, and pray hard. I absolutely believe that all things happen for a reason. Like for instance, spending the last 9 months volunteering my time helping my friend start his buisness. It came with tons of hard work, tireless decision making, endless ideas, mega hours planning and executing all of the above, without any reprieve or compensation except for knowing you put your whole heart into it. That was the major payoff along with the one thing that comes with doing anything for a period of time...EXPERIENCE!!! With this I am hoping that the Lord leads me into opening a business. I feel I have the perfect one in mind, however.......the Lord has to LEAD me.

AMERICAN PICKERS

Today my mom bought me the book "American Pickers". I just happen to love the show and have often wondered what it would be like to just hop in my van and go. I admit the thought of knocking on some complete strangers door is a tad bit nauseating, however very intriguing. So, I've decided I'll definately try it if someone offers to be my wing-man. Any offers?

So my first piece gets started today. Im so looking forward to being my own boss again. My close friend Michelle and I are going to open a booth again after spending the last 9 months volunteering for another friend who started a buisness. While most would probably criticize us for this, we both feel we walked away with loads of experience among other things. So, being that it was time for us to move on we look forward to this. Though this is only a part of my new journey, I'm pleased to be doing it with Michelle. So look for some before pics later. Also, please understand that I am not a writter and so my posts might not always be grammatically correct. But here we go....... Ok, so we are in the thick of things. It is looking much better and soon it will be AWESOME!!! Stay tuned.......

Here's to NEW beginnings!

So today is a start to something new. I am someone who loves most things in life weather it be trying something new or meeting new people. However, I admit its sometimes out of my comfort zone once I do it I usually like it or make new friends for life. I am intrigued by many things to the point of asking some would say too many questions,although I learn alot that way. So, back to my purpose here is too share my creative adventures be it redoing furniture, color consulting, crafty ideas, lifes circumstances, or just journaling, I hope you will find my blog is a little of everything, fun, helpful and just plain interesting!
